Pearltri Foundation is a non-profit public charitable trust established in 2019 which believes in the power to create a positive impact on the society by addressing key social, environmental, and economic challenges through its programs.

OUR TRUSTEES

Gowri Shankar Subramanian

Gowri Shankar Subramanian is a Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of Aspire Systems. He commenced his entrepreneurial journey at a very young age. With over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, Gowri has been recognized as a pioneer in managing strategy as well as people practices.

A visionary, Gowri has steered Aspire from the small start-up it was in 1996 to the enterprise it is today. Under his leadership, Aspire has grown to a team of over 4,500 people with a strong presence across the US, LATAM, Europe, Middle East, India and APAC.

He is an active speaker and has presented in various industry events. He has been quoted extensively by leading publications. Gowri is an Angel Investor, actively investing in start-ups across the country. He also believes in giving back to society through Aspire’s CSR wings, Polestar and Pearltri Foundation, that stand for the cause of social upliftment.

Gowri has a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College. He is also an amateur pilot still trying to get it right!

Kavitha Kalyanasundaram

Kavitha has been associated with Aspire Systems for several years. She has played a role across many functions in Aspire including MIS, Business Analysis, New Initiatives and Project Management. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.

She is involved in Pearltri Foundation activities, actively participating and supporting the various initiatives of the foundation.

Sathappan

Sathappan has over 15 years of experience in designing, executing, and managing multi-dimensional projects in the development sector, with a strong focus on skill development and vocational training. He has collaborated with international development agencies, local governments, corporates, and NGOs across South and Southeast Asia. A Certified PMP Professional and Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner, he is well-versed with the key frameworks and regulations in the development sector. Prior to joining Pearltri Foundation, he served as Regional Director for South Asia at ASSIST, an international NGO. Sathappan holds a B.Tech in Chemical & Electrochemical Engineering from the Central Electrochemical Research Institute, India.

Binu K John

Binu K John brings over 25 years of IT industry experience across roles such as Applications Programmer, Project Manager, Delivery Manager, and IT Head at Aspire Systems. He has led the deployment of key enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, HRMS, analytics, and security solutions across Aspire’s global offices. Currently, he serves as the Centre Head of Aspire’s Kochi Development Centre and as Integration Manager for global mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless IT and systems integration. As part of the Advisory Board of Pearltri Foundation, Binu leverages his strategic and technological expertise to support the foundation’s mission and long-term impact.

Krishnan Vaidyanathan

Krishnan Vaidyanathan is a seasoned professional with over three decades of diverse industry experience and a strong postgraduate academic background. His career spans quality control and large-scale operations in the salt industry, followed by leadership roles in administration, procurement, statutory compliance, real estate, and project execution at Aspire group. He has successfully managed end-to-end planning and delivery of office infrastructure, food outlets, and civil works. A strong advocate of sustainability, Krishnan brings expertise in green energy, green buildings, EHS practices, and ESG frameworks. As a member of the Advisory Board of Pearltri Foundation, he guides infrastructure and environment-focused initiatives, ensuring alignment with socially responsible and sustainable practices.

Sridhar PS

Sridhar PS is our CFO and oversees Aspire’s Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting & Controllership and Stakeholder management. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of experience predominantly in IT Industry. Sridhar has joined us from D&B TransUnion, where he was the Senior Vice-President Finance, contributing actively to Stakeholder Management. He brings with him a wealth of experience in analytical strategic planning, business acumen & reliability in financial reporting and ensuring diligence, governance and controls in operations. In his earlier role at Aviva Global Shared Services, UK he worked on a Business Finance role with a strategic focus on Financial Planning, Control and Efficiencies for their Captive ITES centers in India and Sri Lanka. He played a key role in the exit strategy of their BOT business model in India. Prior to that he was with Cognizant Technologies where he worked in increasingly responsible positions in Finance.

Subburathinam

Subburathinam holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College and brings over 30 years of diverse experience across industries and functions. He began his career in the process industry, including brewery and glassware manufacturing, with international exposure in Oman. For the past 22 years, he has been associated with Aspire Systems, where he has contributed to facilities management, system administration, and MIS. He played a key role in developing Aspire’s Siruseri campus infrastructure and later led the company’s training initiatives, establishing fresher programs and Centres of Excellence that strengthened campus hiring. Actively involved in CSR, especially the SHINE program, he has supported skill development initiatives for underserved youth. As a member of the Advisory Board of Pearltri Foundation, he brings operational and training expertise to guide skill development programs with a focus on practical, industry-relevant IT training.
